Metro Area Fishing Report

6/11/2017

Walleyes are still feeding aggressively in deep weeds at about 10-12 feet of water. The best luck I have had getting them has been slow-trolling this depth and pitching jigs like you are fishing for bass. I have found that chartreuse is the best color and a fathead is the best minnow. Northern Pike have been moving out to these areas as well and can be taken on any array of spinner baits, spoons, and deep-diving crank baits.
